Turbo suspected to have gone and dropped oil into engine car won't start now at all is damage repairable or is new engine required only had car four weeks and was bought from a garage

Hello you don't say what make and model this is but assuming its a petrol engine then1st thing to try is pull the spark plugs and check them for oil damagereplace any if they fail this checklisthttp://www.ngksparkplugs.com/tech_support/spark_plugs/faqs/faqread.asp then while the plugs are out do a compression test across all cylinders as they should all be within 10-15 psi of each other if this is all OK then hopefully all you need is a new a turbo and to flush the intercooler out to remove the oil

Hi Matt sorry the engine is 2.2 diesel the car is a Mazda 6 sport thanks

OK if its a diesel then ignore the bit about spark plugs but the compression test is still a good idea and also clean out the intercooler , by removing it from the car and flushing it through with brake cleaner if you have good compression then hopefully all thats required is a new turbo
