Car making a ticking/knocking sound when ever clutch not depressed. So when idling with foot off clutch or driving with foot off clutch. If idling with clutch depressed (even partially) noise not present. Noise goes away during gear changes.

Hello this sounds like the clutch release bearing may be a little wornas when you press the clutch pedal you put pressure onto the bearing and take up the slack usually they will go on like this for many miles ( several thousand) before getting a lot louder, at which point the transmission will have to come off to replace it
