I have a2033 micro 1.0L it has oil residue on the sump ..

Resolved Question:

Hi I have a2033 micro 1.0L it has oil residue on the sump .. the oil level has always been good uses no oil ..but there's oil coming from somewhere. Def engine oil as its black . Not transmission. Any clues ?

most likely is the sump to engine block joint is weeping slightly

I'd suggest the next step is to use some brake cleaner spray to remove the oil residue so its all clean and then run the engine until its hot and look again to see if you can spot fresh oil and its origin

Ok seems to be weeping from seal . Cleaned it down and the ran it .. Checked and oil on seal .. Blowing onto exhaust ..dump looks like new .no corrosion .

OK, in that case the sump will have to come off , both sides thoroughly cleaned and then resealed with some loctite 5900 sealent
