Will I need a new car cover or will it clean
Expert:  Matt replied 9 months ago.

hello

if the marks are caused by abrasion then you try polishing them out with some compound like this

its also worth try applying a little heat from a hot air gun to see if this helps as it will relieve the localised stress

Is it something to be concerned about and what's caused it is it caused by valeting like the plastic wheel nut caps
Expert:  Matt replied 9 months ago.

Hello

a lot of plastics suffer and degrade with heat so i wouldn't say its anything to be concerned about

I'd check under the cover to ensure nothing is spraying fuel on its underside

I've been told the white milky residue is caused by engine bay been cleaned that's what's caused plastic wheel nut caps to go like it as well
