Hi Lesley,

Do you have photos of the car after the accident?

And /or repair invoice for me to read?

Your description points to wiring harness damage that the first repairer is unaware of.

Many thanks Gary for responding. I don’t have photos or details of work done but the body repair person said he had great difficulty getting under to hammer the damage out., and I agree possibly did some damage related to the car not starting. It keeps showing the immobiliser light flashing. The Mazda dealer got 2 new keys that don’t respond . I will pass on your comments to them and see what they do. So disappointed, the car was working fine before it was hit

Your welcome Lesley.

The Madza dealer is aware it has been repaired from a side impact accident?

I have no doubt there was nothing wrong with it prior to the accident.

but am at the stage I would get it towed away to a dealer in Lisburn I don’t know what to do
Expert:  Gary replied 29 days ago.

Is the car insured for accident damage?, since this should be part of the first repair.

I can't understand why the dealer can't fix it.

Is there another Mazda dealer nearby?

Hi Gary it is insured but not too sure how this would work when I didn’t contact them originally and had it moved to the dealer. Do you think I can get the insurance involved now?
Expert:  Gary replied 29 days ago.

I can't see why not.

I would. You have a right to involve your insurer.

Surely the repairer knew something was wrong when it wouldn't start.

I would have thought that should have been part of the smash quote.

We didn’t contact the insurance when it was hit because the other car involved had gone. I will contact the insurance company and I’ll let you know how I get on. The Mazda dealer it is with has now requested who he sends the bill to. Nothing has been fixed except 2 keys were ordered that didn’t work. So disappointed !!

Oh, a hit and run, horrible people.

I bet you are disappointed.

Hear from you soon.
