Hello, Thank you for your question. I will try my best to help you with your questions. I need to ask few questions before first.
Do you have fever ? swelling or redness over the implanted site ?
ECG was done after these symptoms have started ?
Shortness of breath after mild activity ?
Of symptoms get worse after slight activity ?
If ECG was done and it is ok then pacemaker is fine. One thing that needs attention is that they have to do it with a magnet on the pacemaker
Did they checked ECG with magnet ?
What symptoms or which symptoms get worse after exercise ? palpitations ? or shortness of breath ?
This seems like a pacemaker syndrome
or pacemaker tachycardia.
It is very common after new pacemaker.
It can be adjusted easily by placing a machine over the pacemaker and adjusting the rate and cycle length of the pacemaker.
Pain is very normal after implantation and stays for around 4-6 weeks,
because we have to pierce the blood vessels
and there are nerves along these
which are damaged
also pacemaker pocket which we form below the skin
causes pressure on the surrounding
tissue and it takes time for the body to adjust to this.
If heart rate increases of you feel
symptoms of palpitations after exercise only then this is pacemaker tachycardia
which is caused due to problems with pacemaker not adjusted to hearts rate
I still think these are pacemaker tachy symptoms
This can be easily adjusted.
