Repeat! I am not taking any medication

Expert:  Dr. Phil, MD replied 3 years ago.
Why are you having trouble sleeping?
Pain?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

It is getting too late - I have to go to bed and try to sleep. (I am in the UK)

Expert:  Dr. Phil, MD replied 3 years ago.
Explain to me why you cant sleep
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Because it was around midnight local time and I was tired. !

I then had a good night's sleep.

I find it varies from one night to the next. I usually wear pyjamas and go to sleep on my back, head and shoulders slightly propped up on pillows and then find I wake up suddenly after an hour or two feeling cold. (Window open very slightly) I put another blanket on and sometimes then sleep well & sometimes wake up feeling hot and sweaty. It does vary from night to night!

Are there sensible rules I should follow to achieve good sleep regularly?

Expert:  Dr. Phil, MD replied 3 years ago.
This sounds like infection to me
You could have an infection of the pacemaker pocket
night sweats are indicative of infection
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

I have to go to the hospital where the pacemaker was installed next Monday for a check up. I will ask them about a possible infection.

Expert:  Dr. Phil, MD replied 3 years ago.
