My cat is off colour for the last 3 days. She is almost 10.

Customer Question

My cat is 'off colour' for the last 3 days. She is almost 10. Generally in very good health. Has all her vaccinations up to date. She is a lot less responsive than usual, does not look to go outside, eating and drinking very little, walking slowly and yet when I touch her she does not seem to be in pain anywhere. She is just sleeping and trying to stay warm all day.

Hello Eimear, I'm Dr. Deb and I'll do my best to help you today.

I'm sorry that Saoirse isn't feeling well.
I do have a few questions to ask about her first if you don't mind:

1. Do you have a thermometer so you can take her temperature?
2. Can you tell me the color of her gums?
3. Any weight loss?
4. Any change in her thirst prior to this particular episode?
5. Any vomiting or diarrhea?

There may be a slight delay after I receive your answers since I have to type up a response to you. Thanks for your patience. Deb

Eimear:
I'm so sorry but there may be a problem with the site. This sometimes happens and I have no understanding as to why!

I haven't seen any responses from you so could you please resend them?
I apologize for the inconvenience; I know how enormously frustrating this can be.

Thanks, Deb
