Hello, I'm Dr. Deb and will do my best to help you today.

I'm sorry for this concern for Brumas.

There actually could be several different reasons why a cat might start to sneeze including an early upper respiratory infection (uri), dust (secondary to litter or things in the environment), polyps in the nose, or foreign bodies...just to name a few examples.

I wouldn't consider this to be an ER type of situation, though, since he's eating. It's quite possible that this will be a transitory episode but if he should still be sneezing by Monday and/or other signs develop (such as weepy eyes), then a vet visit may be prudent.

I hope this helps. Deb

Many thanks. I didn't think it was urgent as he is bouncing as usual but wanted to be sure.

You're more than welcome.

Always best to be safe in these situations and better to ask than to worry:) So glad you did.

Best of luck with him. Kind regards, Deb
