my cat (1 year old) has had cloudy eyes for a week now took her to vet and am waiting to go to eye specialist vet - but today she is not eating and doesn't seem herself whimpers when i pick her up. I'm worried,

I believe that you're describing uveitis - inflammation of the iris and its attachments - in Winter and because she's also systemically ill, a systemic infection needs to be considered as causing the uveitis. In cats, toxoplasmosis, FIP virus, feline leukemia virus, feline immunodeficiency virus, a systemic mycosis (fungal infection), and bartonellosis are important consideratins.
