Customer Question

I own a Panasonic Tel. KX-TG2730S. Satellite unit registers "No link to base unit". I have checked all items in the trouble shooting section of my instruction book. None of them helps. Can you suggest other things I may try?

I have gone back to the Best Buy store where I purchased the units. No help there.

Customer X-XXXXXXX@XXXXXX.XXX

Optional Information:
Make: Panasonic Telephone
Model: KX-TG2730S

Already Tried:
Everything in the manual. Move closer to base unit. Will not work at 4 inch distance. Plug in adapter. Raise base unit antennas.

Have you tried the steps below yet?

On the base unit, de-register all units by entering" Program, Mute, 335, # XXXXX and then the Extension # XXXXX each unit" Then re-register all 4 handsets by entering the "Function Key, Intialize, Right arrow up to Registration, Right arrow to HS Registration, Hold Mute button on Base until it blinks then click top right grey button that says OK."

Try that if you have not allready done so

I just checked your procedure. I can not find an initialize button on my phone. On investigation I find the manual they gave me has a different model # XXXXX my phone. Sorry. Model# XXXXX the phone isKX-TGA270S.
Can you suggest a procedure for the correct model #?

Thank you...............Carl DeMartino

Hmm, ok, not as familiar with this one, but try this, hit the "function key" at the bottom left of the handset and scrolled down to initial settings. Under registration is "deregistration". Select that and it will reset backto default like it was out of the box. Then Hold Mute button on Base until it blinks then click accept on the handset.

See if that helps

No worries and sorry for the delay in getting back to you! I think that the original instructions I sent you were for the other model we thought you had huh! :)

Ok

1) On the base unit:
Press: FUNCTION or PROGRAM
Button name varies by which series it is.

2) Press: MUTE

3) Enter the numbers 3, 3, 5, #

4) Enter the handset number (1 to 8)

then to Re-register it, check the site below for a good walk through of re-registering the handsets (has nice graphics for what you will see on your phone.)

Good luck!
