Hi there, have taken photos on my Samsung Galaxy camera this

Customer Question

Hi there, have taken photo's on my Samsung Galaxy camera this morning & viewed them. However, went to view / send them after camera was off & can't access the gallery anymore. Keep getting a message "not enough space. delete unnecessary items, such as downloaded software, pictures, videos & documents. I have deleted some old video footage, but have no downloaded Apps, all were built in. In the settings / storage, I have 3.97GB in total, it reads 1.3GB available. Not sure how to move forward here, any advice would help. Thanks. Joady

I have been playing around in the storage element & its only pictures & video's where I have this message. I can also still take photo's - just can't view them.

Hello, and thanks for your question. My name is ***** ***** I will help you today.

Please try this method:

Go to Settings->Applications or Apps->All (swipe left to go right to All list). Select Gallery on the list. Tap Force Stop and tap Clear data. Make sure data size is less than 10MB.

When done, power off your camera and turn it back on. Test it again.

Hi there Nick,

thanks for the advice - mine is a camera, not a phone.

In settings, I don't have ->Applications or Apps-> just -> Application manager, under which there is no "gallery" option?!?!? So not fixed yet.

Anything else you can recommend?

Thanks for your help

Thanks for your update.

Please go to Settings->Application Manager. Next you will see Downloaded, Running on to. Swipe left to go right to All list. On the All list, you will see Gallery. Tap Force Stop and Clear data.

Power off your camera and turn it back on. Open Gallery to see if you can see the photos now.

Hi Nick,

tried all this.

No joy - still getting same message - "not enough space. delete unnecessary items, such as downloaded software, pictures, videos & documents."

?!?!?!

Customer: replied 2 years ago.

Sorry - one more thing - it had the option to force stop, but nothing happens after that, no message to clear data.

Thanks for your update.

Please go Settings->Storage. You will see cache. Tap cache to clear the cache files. Now open Gallery. Does it work now?

Hi Nick,

have settings & storage, but no cache option.

!?!?!?

Expert:  Nick H. replied 2 years ago.
After you go to Settings->Storage, what do you see on the list?

Nick

Customer: replied 2 years ago.

It just shows me the device memory, as a stacked bar chart.

Then details all of the space taken by each , Applications, Pictures, video's, etc.

No ability to swipe left or right for any additional options.

Expert:  Nick H. replied 2 years ago.
Thanks for your update.

Yes that is the correct screen. You will see cache on the list. Tap it. Tap OK to clear the cache.

Next power off your camera. Turn it back on and test again.

hi Nick,

In storage I have not got "cache" as an option, just these:

Applications

Pictures, videos (when I tap this I get the recurring mssg)

Audioi

Misc files

Available

I have tried tapping on each of these & none have a cache option

Thanks for your help

Thanks for your update.

I would connect your camera to computer. Then copy/transfer all photos to SD memory card. Then reset your Camera back to Factory Settings. This would work great.

Steps to reset:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Select Privacy or Backup & Reset
  3. Select Factory data reset
  4. Select Reset device
  5. Select Erase everything
  6. Your camera will reset which will take about 2-3 minutes.
  7. Set it up again.
  8. Test your issue again.

Please let me know if it worked or not. Thank you!
