Deleting recents in iphone 4 Deleting from the Recents list

Resolved Question:

Deleting recents in iphone 4
Deleting from the Recents list using the edit facility is straightforward.
However , when double clicking the home button recents remain displayed in blue circles at the head of the page.
How can they be deleted?

Hello,
My name is Jason. I look forward to helping you today.
After the Recents' list is how you want it, you sometimes have to do a simple reset to erase the content from the cache. You can do that by pressing both the Home button and the Power button down at the same time for 10 seconds. As soon as it resets, let go of the both the keys and let it boot back up. Now all will be set.

Doesn't work I'm afraid. Tried several times.

Recents remain displayed in blue circles at head of screen when home key is double clicked.

In Settings go to Mail, Contacts, Calendars, then Show in App Switcher, and disable both Phone Favorites and Recents.
Disable Recents there and you will be all set.
