I have purchased a kindle fire which I need to connect to bt internet. The tablet shows connected but has a lock. How do I unlock to enter the pass word? Help please.

To conned to it you press on your network in the list then it is going to ask you to enter the password.
Enter the password ***** and it will then connect to the wireless network.

Have pressed on network but it just shows signal strength and security number. when I press connect it returns to list of connections.

Are you sure your not now already connected to it?
Open the Kindle Store and tell me what happens please.

It states device not registered to amazon account

ok, means it is connected to wifi so you now just need to register it.To do this, on the Kindle From Home, swipe down from the top of the screen and then tap Settings. Tap My Account. Tap Register.Let me know how you go please.

ok, very strange, I think its best we reset the Kindle so you can set it up again.To do this.Swipe down from the top of the screen and tap Settings.Tap Device Options, and then tap Reset to Factory Defaults.Tap Reset to confirm.Then you can set it up againLet me know the results please.

Unit switched off then came back on but screen is now static showing Fire

Ok,
Remove the charger from the Kindle and hold the power button to off for 35 seconds.
Release, then connect the charger and try to turn on the Kindle.

ok, on the back of your BT Hub is a reset button, hold that in for 10 seconds, then release.
Wait 5 minutes then tell me if the Kindle will connect to it please.

It is the wireless key you need to enter and it has to be exactly as its specified so if its a capital, use this please.
