Hi, PC is desktop tower Windows 7 Sound lost following auto update.

Did you notice what update it was? Do you lose sound in websites or in a file on the computer or in a cd/dvd disk, etc., or all?Can I connect remotely to your computer, so I can fix the issue directly on your computer together with you?Please reply at the box below. Thank you.

Please try this first: click Start->All programs->Accessories->System Tools->System Restore and restore the computer to any date before this issue has occurred, then check.When you are available, please reply back to continue troubleshooting. Thank you.

System restore tried - no changes were result. remote access if necessary

Sorry, please try: Click on Start, then right-click on Computer, then click on Manage, then click on Device manager, then click on the + (plus) sign in front of Sound, video, and game controllers, and right-click on each of the item(s) under it and click on Uninstall and confirm (but don't check the box to delete the driver if shown). Then restart the computer, and it will automatically reinstall, then check sound.- If needed, check the speakers' cables.- If needed, test with headphones/headsets/earphones connecting straight to the computer (not through the speakers.)Please let me know. Thank you.

OK - done as directed - Low Humming noise only - Headphones nil - Rear audio jack nil. - what next - remote?
