I bought an Asus tablet last week (and assumed that there would be some instruction on how to use it- I am wrinkly!!) Somehow I managed to get a display, put the clock and date right, typed in a password ***** tried to connect it to my server. Nothing happened.
Thought I'd try again this morning so switched it on and it is coming up with a padlock symbol and No connection display.
Any thoughts on what I should do or might be doing wrong please?

It comes up with the date, day and time display No Connection and two padlocks, 1 inside and one outside a flashing circle.

ok. do you see one of the pad locks is unlocked

I have tried tapping both of the padlock sysmbols in the hope that something will ask me for the password- nothing..

ok slide the inner circle to the unlocked pardlock

Ok brilliant it has now given me a choice of possibilities i.e calendar, email etc. unfortunately the no connection sign is still being displayed.

I've tried holding the time/no network and dragging out down but it just goes back up again.

at the center of the icons at the bottom there is a circle with some boxes inside.

No- where would I find that? By the way I clicked on the BTHub display and it gave me some choices so I clicked on Connect and it now says Authenticating- hope that is OK?

on the WiFi router at the back there is usually the network name and Authentication key

There are two numbers on the back of the router the WPS Pin and the Admin Password- which one do we need?

OK display now says authentification abandoned so I have typed in the pin and we are back to authenticating again

Nothing saying WPS pin but have just got a message stating Authentification problem again,. Should I press forget and start again?

I have assumed that somehow it will pick up the same system- I have only one computer and my telephone and skye TV system are all linked through this one line. I haven't typed anything into the pad because I had no instructions telling me to do so.

Sorry- as I said I am a wrinkly and am still in the days of paper instructions! The Network bars show that the BT hub is connected with a good signal

now let us click on the bars once. then it will open a small window. go to where it says BT and right click then select properties. We are doing this to get the password ***** is using
