Thank you for your help, unfortunately it did not work. It must have been when the JVC programme was installed that the settings changed for some reason. I tried restoring to an earlier date but obviously this took the programme out of the system, I have re-instated it now but think it best to wait for a guy from work that has offered to take a look for me. It is a brand new laptop so shouldn't be too much of a problem, fingers crossed. I might come back to you again tomorrow afternoon if that is ok.
Start --> Programs --> Accessories. Right Click on Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator. Then type each line and press Enter.
netsh winsock reset catalog
netsh int ip reset reset.log
Restart your system after all 4 commands is run. Then test your issue again.
Still not working? You can go to Control Panel->Device Manager. On the list, expand Network adapters. Right click on the wireless adapter and select Uninstall. DO NOT CHECK THE BOX TO DELETE DRIVER. Just leave it unchecked. Reboot your laptop and test again. Wifi driver will be installed back.
Thanks for your rating. No need to rate anymore. Please come back and let me know how it worked out. I will be glad to assist.
Thank you Nick much appreciated, I haven't had time to try any of the other remedies as yet but will do when I have finished work this evening and I will let you know how I get on ok
