jctservice :

Hi there! I'm Joey, and I'm happy to assist you today!

jctservice :

let me know when you are ready to begin

Customer:

Ready to start now please

jctservice :

great. So are you trying to create your amazon/kindle account or something else?

Customer:

hi joey - just trying to create a kindle account and get going with it

jctservice :

Excellent. Often those "captchas" can be difficult to read. It may be easier to create the account on your computer, and then sign in with that account on the Kindle. The code may be easier to read on the computer, and, if you still have trouble, I can remote-assist the computer to see what you see and assist you that way.

jctservice :

Just a moment, I'll send a link for you here, and you use that to create your amazon account on the computer.

Customer:

ok - how do i access it through my computer I am a bit of a technophobe

jctservice :

Ok, click on the link below. It should open in a new browser window, leaving this window open as well. you can flip back and forth to chat with me and follow the instructions on the amazon page:

https://www.amazon.com/ap/signin

jctservice :

on that page, put in the email address you want to use with your kindle / amazon account, then click the radio button next to "No, I am a new customer"

Customer:

the link you gave me says it is not a functioning web page

Customer:

I appear to have created an account without having to decipher anything at all! Will what ev er I download go automatically onto my kindle?

jctservice :

Great! Good news. when you purchase e-books with amazon, it will give you the option to download to your kindle -- but first, we'll want to sign in to your new amazon account on your kindle, which well match it up with your new account

jctservice :

so back on your kindle, you may have to back out of the sign up screen if you are still there, but you'll want to sign in with the account you just created

Customer:

just found te screen that asks if I have an Amazon account set up and it tells me what to load

jctservice :

great, let me know if you have any questions as you walk through that

Customer:

seem to be in there ok - thanks for your help.

jctservice :

Great! anything else I can help you with today?

Customer:
