Hi.
I have setup my 4 ch standaloan dvr (works great). I would like to connect to my pc in another part of my house I have fitted a lan cable between the dvr and the pc set up software on my pc and entered the ip address but it don't work is it possible to email me with instructions of how to get it working (*****@******.***) if this is possible.

Unfortunately, you can't just connect the LAN cable direct from the DVR and the PC

A. Stevens :

You would need to setup either a switch or a router to connect the two.

A. Stevens :

You might already have a router setup, dependent on what modem you might be using for your internet service

A. Stevens :

If so, you would just need to connect a LAN cable from your DVR to your router

A. Stevens :

And then a LAN cable from your PC to your router

A. Stevens :

and then the two should be able to communicate, assuming they have the right configuration.

So I think that we would need to make some adjustments in your firewall/router to allow communication to the DVR
