there I need help project idea I have Using python

Resolved Question:

Hi there I need help for a project idea I have
Using python create program that will run A computing quiz test for year 10/11. Approx. 12 questions. It will have a Gui window- with buttons for start, skip question, check correct, score, The program should store questions to file. Able to randomize the questions. If possible record the students names.
The other idea was a black jack game or Caesar Cipher or a computer room booking system
Here is the criteria
The program implemented should reflect a solution that embodies a level of abstraction and generalisation, and this should be described
• The implemented program should reflect a solution that demonstrates an understanding of the input, output and storage of data-include the basics- Selection
• Iteration (if appropriate for the program)
• Input and output functionality
• Variables with different data types
The program should, where appropriate, include some (but not all) of the programming features given, as appropriate:
• User-defined functions, including parameter passing
• Data structures such as an array
• Saving of data to a file or database
• Implementation of a GUI
• Validation checks built into the program
• Menu-driven functionality
• Sorting/searching algorithm
Extremely grateful if you can help us out

Hi,
what's your timeframe for this project? It would take a couple of days I'd guess.
Thanks,

Hi there

huge thank you in advance for your work on this.

Time frame 8 days if this is possible.

Hope this is useful

Best regards

Anne

Expert:  Ingo U replied 1 year ago.
Hi Anne,
That sounds doable! Fromthe looks of it the assignment is fairly open-ended, so I may have some questions along the way. One thing that would be helpful if you could upload any relevant files, previous coursework, references, anything to give me insight as to the level and style of the class & instructor (if applicable).
Thanks,Ingo

Customer: replied 1 year ago.

Hi Indigo

Here is some information and a big huge thank you for the work in advance-will give you a bonus if you can solve-(12 days if this helps )

For the copy of doc example 1need to show selection-iteration-input and output functionality variables and different data types and some from the secondary list.

For the example of the quiz it

needed more functions-check questions are correct-keeping a score-storing questions to file- randomize the questions asked

hope this is helpful.

Additional project criteria

  • Brief description of what it does

  • Intended user

  • Describe how to run it (so that it can be tested)

  • What test data should it be run with? (add a file of tests if appropriate)

  • Language used

  • Platform

  • Bugs (if any)

  • Improvements that could be made

OK thanks I will be in touch.
Expert:  Ingo U replied 1 year ago.
Hello Anne,
for the quiz content, can you supply a list of questions (multiple choice) and answers that I can embed in the code? Format doesn't matter - a question phrase, 3-4 answers, correct answer code (letter). Same # ***** answer choices for all questions would be ideal.
Thanks,
Ingo
Expert:  Ingo U replied 1 year ago.
Also, there a many ways to create GUIs for python. What framework are you supposed/allowed to use? TKInter is "standard" I suppose...
Expert:  Ingo U replied 1 year ago.
Even better, if you have any sample GUI code that you've seen in or around your class, that would be helpful.
Expert:  Ingo U replied 1 year ago.
What's with all the questions you say?
I gotta know what version of Python you use.
Expert:  Ingo U replied 1 year ago.
Sorry to bug you but I do need your input on the questions above so I can proceed.
Thanks...

Here we go here are some challenging ones aimed at computer science for GCSE-hope these are maybe better Smile

Question

What are the advantages of writing in high-level code compared to machine code?

Answer

High-level code is more understandable than machine code to humans, so it makes the process of

developing a program easier.

. Question

What is a low-level programming language?

Answer

A low-level language is closer to how the computer works.

Question

Describe the type of network that is suitable for 10 or more users.

Answer

Any of the networks could potentially be used, depending on geographic location, security needs, and budget. For example, if the users are geographically spread and require a secure system from

a range of locations, a VPN would be the best system.

Question

Question

What is meant by a network protocol?

Answer

A protocol is, in one sense, nothing more than an agreement that a particular type of data will be

formatted in a particular manner.

Question

What is an IP address?

Answer

An internet protocol address (IP address) is a numerical address assigned to each device (e.g., computer, printer) connected in a computer network.

Question

What is the purpose of a router on a network?

Answer

Routers are small devices that join multiple networks together. A router connects two or more

networks.

Question

Explain the term encryption.

Answer

Encryption is the coding or scrambling of information so that it can only be decoded and read by someone who has the correct decoding key.

Question

What is a bug?

Answer

A bug is an error in a computer program.

Expert:  Ingo U replied 1 year ago.
Good work, but remember that we're going for multiple choice here.. so for every question, we need 3-4 answers, only one of which is correct.
The GUI details/requirements are actually more critical, I already have placeholders for the question/answer strings in a file.
Coding TKInter GUI elements by hand is tedious in general. Any visual design/layout tools we're allowed/supposed to use would be better than manual.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.

oops-ah good point I sort out tomorrow and try and email you in the afternoon if thats ok. They gave us too much paper work tonight say no more.

Hey there,
haven't forgotten about you, here's a work in progress:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/krsf21xtmpbzie1/Quiz.zip?dl=0
Unzip to a folder on disk and run
python.exe Quiz.py
or however you prefer to run (IDLE editor)
It doesn't do anything with student name or # ***** questions, but does randomly go through all 10 questions in the file. At the end, it just stops asking. No scores recorded or displayed to user yet either. But the basic engine of cycling through the quiz looks like it's working. Another day or so.

Hello Ingo

That looks very impressive your amazing so will sort out payment tomorrow and check you are happy with it.

In addition would you be able to screenshot parts of the code to identify range programming techniques used.

Also screenshot to show evidence of testing data.

Any bugs/improvements needed to get the quiz to work

That would be fantastic- you can put the screenshots into word with relevant descriptions I can soon put it into a ppt. For this I would give 60 pounds in addition. So 240 for work so far and 60 pounds in addition total would be 300 pounds. Does that sound ok.

Obvously if I won the lottery you would half my winnings-very talented individual and thank you once again.

Hi Anne,
I think first you rate the service/answer so that the initially deposited payment is accepted. Then it should offer you to pay any additional amount of your choosing. You probably don't want to close it until we're really completely finished with everything, until then we can still exchange messages in this thread. If you have trouble or questions regarding the payment, we are supposed to direct you to customer service, we (the experts) don't handle that side of the operation. Probably for good reasons :-)
