Hello and thank you for using JustAnswer
Can I have you do the following please?
1. Swipe down from the top of the screen to show Quick Settings, and then tap Wireless.2. Verify that Airplane Mode is Off. Next to Wi-Fi, tap On. 3. Tap a network to connect to it. If you see a lock icon, a network password is required. 4. Enter the Wi-Fi network password, and then tap Connect.
If you need a video tutorial on how to do this process please see this video: http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=201015750
Let me know if this helps. Thanks.
i,ve done all that before
Ok, and what error do you get when you try to connect?
Please do not rate until we have finished. Thank you.
it says connected to wifi when i have signed in,then reverts back to get connected,it says i am online, but the wi fi icon at the top right hand side has a cross through it.
Ah, how far from the wireless router are you? Can you get near the router and see if you can stay connected?
Also, are making sure to enter the same wifi password that you use for your other wireless devices?
i am next to it,i have never had this problem before, even when in places with wi fi connection.
Are you having problems with any other wireless spots or just the one?
When you have a moment let me know if this is just with your home wifi, or the problem is for all wifi hotspots. Thanks.
all of them.
I see. It sounds like one of two things, one a software issue that can be fixed by doing doing a factory reset (this wipes all your information/data) and two a hardware issue, the wifi antenna can be going bad.
Would you like to try the factory restore?
no,i think i will send it back to amazon, got to go out now.
Ok. Best of luck to you. Thank you for your question.
Please take a moment to rate, thank you.
I see you have rated poor service. May I ask why?
I have the correct answers for you, however they were not what you expected.
