My samsung s4 is refusing to accept my password XXXXX though it is correct for definite please advise as I am stuck without my phone please help me out

To confirm, is this the SIM lock code or the Screen Unlock code you need to enter?

Hi Neik

Idid not see a response, so will provide a solution to both.

If it is a sim card lock, then you need the PUK code. This only your Cell provider can give you as they have this on record as linked to your account. You will need to call them (tell me who they are if you do not have their number), and request this code once they have verified you over the phone.

If it is the Phone lock then the only way to remove the password is to reset the device, there is no other way.

This though is going to delete all your data and return it to new like when you first purchased it.

There is no way to avoid this. I guarantee this. If there was I would know after dealing with phones for over 15 years, and I would much prefer giving that method to my customers and avoiding a bad rating.

To reset the device please follow the procedures below

Turn the phone off.

Press and hold VOLUME UP and Home (middle) button

Press Power until the phone vibrate

Wait until you see the Android logo then release all the buttons.
Select Wipe data/Factory reset with VOLUME DOWN, press Power (right hand-side)

Select YES -- delete all user data with VOLUME DOWN and then press Power

After format, press Power again to reboot phone. (select reboot system now)

The password is then removed.

Again, I know you said you do not wish to lose your data, and I can emphasis with this, but you must do the reset to remove the lock.
