Can you tell me when this problem first started please?

Thank you

About 3 months ago - have been using screen to type.

Expert:  Richard replied 3 years ago.
Thanks Tony

I want to first rule out another program causing this.

Click Start, type in MSCONFIG and press enter.

Click on the Startup Tab and click Disable All.

Click on the Services Tab and click "Hide All Microsoft Services"

Then click Disable All

Click ok, restart and let me know if you can then use either of the Keyboards please.

Thank you

Richard - no good, still no working.

Expert:  Richard replied 3 years ago.
ok, we then need to remove any registry or data corruption that can cause this.

Do the following please

Download CC Cleaner (free) from here

CC Cleaner

(Click Download Latest Version on the top right)

Run it and let it scan and repair your registry.

Once done, restart the computer

Than

Click Start, All Programs, Accessories, right click on Command Prompt and select Run As Administrator.

A black window will open.

Type in it

sfc /scannow

press enter and when it has completed, type in

chkdsk /f

Press enter.

It will give a message "the type of the file system is NTFS cannot lock current drive.
chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use by another process. Would you like to schedule this volume to be checked the next time the system restarts y/n" Say Y, press enter and restart the computer.

Than test and tell me if it is now working.

Thank you

If you click in it first, then click on the On Screen Keyboard your using, it should work.

But you need to click in it first.

Let me know if you have any difficulties please

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

ok, then we need to do a system restore Tony.

Click Start, type in

System Restore

Press enter.

you need to follow the onscreen instructions and choose a restore date from when the Keyboard last worked.

This does not touch your personal files.

Once the restore has completed, let me know if the Keyboard is now functioning please.
