Thanks Richard, can you tell me where you received this message? Sometimes "phishers" will try to hijack your account using methods like this. I want to make sure that this is not one of them :)

after i put in my email address and password it come straight up with someone else could be using my email account. last night i also opened an icloud account on my iphone as [email protected] could this be anything to do with it

That could be it however, I would still suggest you go ahead and update your password and reset questions, I want to make sure no one has the ability to get into your hotmail account. If you receieve any strange emails from "microsoft" or "hotmail" in the next week or so go ahead and delete them, they'll most likely be fake
