Hi,

I have a problem with my Canon Scanner - getting the error message above.

Can anybody help?

Thank you for your question, my name is Richard.

Can you do the following please

Unplug your printer from the computer

Uninstall the CANON printer software going to Start, Control Panel, Uninstall a Program

Download "windows install cleanup" tool. Go to
Click ME To Open and wait, it will start downloading

Remove any CANON printer application using this tool. (if you find any)

Restart the computer

Download the newest driver here:
Click Me To View

Click "mp495swin102ejs.exe" 16.34 MB

Download and run this top perform the installation

After the new driver is installed please restart your computer

Turn on your printer and plug in the USB cable to another available USB port in your computer and try to scan.

Let me know the results please

I've done all that, but sadly no joy.


 


When I plugged the USB cable back in, more software was automatically uploaded via Windows Updater.


 


Alos, MP Navigator EX is now gone which was what I used to scan.


 


Not sure where I have gone wrong ...

A couple of days ok it was fine. Normally I dont have any problems.

ok, I want to do a system restore Nick, this will undo any corruption that has occurred.

Click Start

Type in System Restore

Press enter

Follow the steps and choose a Restore Date when the scanner last worked.

Once completed, try to scan and Let me know the results please
