To uninstall Skype, press home button
Go to the screen where skype icon is there, press and hold the skype icon
it will start shaking
press the cross mark on the icon and click delete when prompted
once done, press home button again to make icons stable, click on app store
search for skype and install it
sign in to your skype account and check if it works now
