CITRIX problem. I am trying to run CTX137494 - Receiver

CITRIX problem.

I am trying to run CTX137494 - Receiver clean-up utility

When I try to run it, I get the following message
"insufficient permissions detected to continue operations. Please run the application as Administrator"

I am already logged into my PC as administrator ??

Thank you for your question, my name is Richard.

This is one of the hassles with windows 7.

Even though you are logged in as administrator, you still need to run the Clean-up Utility under Administration priviledges.

To do this, right click on the clean-up utility file (the icon you double click to start the program), and you see a menu.

Choose Run as Administrator and it will then run correctly.

Richard when I right click, I do not get the option to run as administrator


 


The drop down menu gives me options such as


Open


open in new tab


etc

You need to right click on the actual Clean up utility File David, the file you downloaded.

First download it and save it.

Then right click on the actual file please.

I also have a window that says windows command processor has stopped working

ok, looks like you have corruption on your computer, so I want to resolve this first David.

Do the following please

Download CC Cleaner (free) from here

CC Cleaner

(Click Download Latest Version on the top right)

Run it and let it scan and repair your registry.

Once done, restart the computer

Than

Click Start, All Programs, Accessories, right click on Command Prompt and select Run As Administrator.

A black window will open.

Type in it

sfc /scannow

press enter and when it has completed, type in

chkdsk /r

Press enter.

It will give a message "the type of the file system is NTFS cannot lock current drive.
chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use by another process. Would you like to schedule this volume to be checked the next time the system restarts y/n" Say Y, press enter and restart the computer.

Than try to run the Cleanup Utility again.

I had to close down Firefox while cc cleaner was running.

Can you let me know the steps I have to take once cc cleaner is done.

After all that, (it took ages), when I run the Citrix clean up file, its still saying windows command processor has stopped !!
