Hi and welcome to Just Answer, a Question and Answer Company. My name is Carl and I will be assisting you today.

Which version of Windows are you running and are you getting another error relating to the registry such as: c:\windows\system32\config\system file missing or corrupt?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.
Hi Carl
Windows 7
There are no other error messages
Expert:  Carl L replied 3 years ago.
Hi Debra,

Do you have a Windows Installation disk so that we can attempt to run the system restore option? Corruption is what causes this error code and normally it can be fixed using system restore or a feature called Check Disk.
Customer: replied 3 years ago.
Hi Carl

No disc were supplied with system & when set up no one made a disc
Can I use any windows 7 restore disk or do I need a special 1 for touch screens?
Expert:  Carl L replied 3 years ago.
You don't need a special disk just for the Touch Screen but you will need have a disk that contains the same Windows 7 version. If you look at your product key on the computer, it will tell you which version you have. Example: Basic, Home Premium, Business, Ultimate, etc.

Let me know which version you have.
