i need help in accessing my vaio laptop to the internet

Customer Question

i need help in accessing my vaio laptop to the internet

Category: Computer
Expert:  Richard replied 2 years ago.
Thank you for your question, my name is Richard.

To clarify, the issue you have is connecting the Laptop to the internet?

If so, are you trying to connect via a network cable, or by connecting to your wireless network? And what is the error you are getting when this fails?

Thank you
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

i am trying to connect wireless but i was told to enable it with the hotkey which i can,t find

Expert:  Richard replied 2 years ago.
ok, we can turn it on this way.

Click start, type in

ncpa.cpl

Press enter

You will see in the new window, Wireless Network Connection.

Right click on it and select Enable.

This will turn on wireless on the computer, and you can then connect to your wireless network.

If you have any problems, or would like any additional information or assistance, please do not hesitate to let me know.

And if you can take a second to rate my service, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

ok, I want to rule out that the adapter has faulted, by reinstalling the driver and connection program

Click on this link on a working computer

http://www.intel.com/support/wireless/wtech/proset-ws/sb/CS-034038.htm

Go to the bottom of the page where you see "Windows XP 32-bit"

Click Download and download the file.

Copy it over via a USB memory stick to the problem computer and run the file and install the program

Once installed, run the Intel program that is installed and then within this program, connect to your wireless network,
