Resolved Question:

widows 8 - When I start up Windows I automatically get a page windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows-8/meet displaying a page with Aw, Snap! Any ideas how to get rid of this page. I am a just answer subscriber.

Now type this web address http://tinyurl.com/kld2d34 on the address bar of Internet explorer and press enter.
Then you get an application installation window in that click on Run. Then you will get another window in that click on join session. That will let me access your pc and check the problem. If you have any difficulty in connecting disable antivirus/firewall and try again also try the method it shows on screen connect window. Let me know once it’s connected. If you have any trouble connecting please let me know. Once I have access to your PC i will send a short message through the remote chat screen.

Once you are in safe mode with networking
1.Download Adware cleaner from this link http://tinyurl.com/ccvc56s download and save it then run the scan on it and it will show a list of adwares click on clean to remove the adware

2.Download malwarebytes anti-malware using this link http://www.malwarebytes.org/ select free version.download and install it then update if after that run a full scan and if it shows any threat click on show results and select all the threats and remove it

3.After that restart the PC and check it and please let me know the status

When I click on an icon in the "safe mode" It high lights the icon and then reverts to a page which says Aw, Snap! and locks up but I do have an active cursor

OK while you are in the desktop press ctrl key then press R while holding the ctrl key that will open run window in that type iexplore.exe and press enter see if that opens internet explorer

No luck nothing happens. The cursor shows and I can move it about

I will leave some instructions which i gave you yesterday too.Open internet explorer and try to do it that is the only thing left other than re-installing windows

First open internet explorer then then download the following.

3.Go to control panel and then go to programs and features then uninstall Google chrome.if you want to keep the the bookmarks uncheck the option to delete everything when the uninstallation starts then continue with uninstallation after the uninstallation restart the PC

4.Then go to https://www.google.com/intl/en/chrome/browser/ and download and install Google chrome

Now check it and let me know the status
