hello, the top half of my kindle screen is frozen, though the touch methodology seems to work underneath, e.g., for entering the password. just cannot see what is there. i have rebooted several times by holding the on- off button pressed, but to no avail. is there anything else i can do?

It sounds like there maybe a glitch in the firmware.

Please remove the case if you have it in one and unplug it from a charging source, if connected. Press in and hold the power button/on switch for 30 seconds, this will reset the firmware. Please wait up to 3 minutes for it to restart.

If your Kindle still has issues, please reply and we will troubleshoot further.

Let's do a hard reset.

Please plug it in and let it charge for 15 minutes.

Once the 15 minutes has passed, please press in and hold the power button for 30 seconds till the screen flickers.

Once it comes back on, please let it charge for 15 more minutes.
