Certain programmes - iTunes cant start up ,because a file

Resolved Question:

Certain programmes - iTunes cant start up ,because a file is missing from Windows 7 running on my Aspire 5741. The file is MSVCE80.dll. Can I replace it in any way?

There is a fix for this issue, and you will need to do the following.

Please do the following to resolve this

Click start, control panel, programs, uninstall a program

Uninstall the below software in the following order. Then, restart your computer.

iTunes
QuickTime
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)

Once you have restarted, install iTunes again from my link below

http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

Once done, it will then work.

Thats ok Bill, there is only one file that has that type of name, so I knew what you meant.

Follow my instructions (I repeated them below) and it will resolve it.

Please do the following to resolve this

Click start, control panel, programs, uninstall a program

Uninstall the below software in the following order. Then, restart your computer.

QuickTime
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)

Once you have restarted, install iTunes again from my link below
