my laptop went dead -no picture on the screen and would not

Resolved Question:

my laptop went dead -no picture on the screen and would not switch off disconnected and trie to remove battery without success. finally managed to switch off but now the battery wont connect.

yes tried to remove battery .it would not come out used a small screwdriver as an assist and might have caused some damage.not sure

Now with the AC adapter are you able to Power ON ?

yes

Try to insert the battery slightly inclined position then press downward

battery is still in situ

remove completely once and try to insert again

there must be a sliding latch/switch which you need to slide to remove the battery

removed battery and reinserted no joy must have damaged it

Try to slide the latch and in that position try to insert battery

Have reinserted still not connecting

to see anything contact points are broken /damaged

turn off the laptop completly

and reinsert battery firmly

In the PB laptop press windows logo + R on keyboard to bring up run prompt

there expand battery option

and check battery is detected or not ?

yes I suspect its not the battery rather the laptop PIN which is unable to detect the battery

click on BIOS tab at bottom

and download the latest BIOS

and install it

then restart the laptop to check battery is detected or not

if after that same problem then it has to be hardware issue ..
