I would like to help you, please let me know when you are ready
are you using the computer in question now?
so we can step by step and fix it together
No. If you could just take me through the steps I will do it later.
ok, you will need to do this:1) connect your harddrive via USB first2) click your start button, right click on COMPUTER and select MANAGE3) it will open your computer management section. when you are in computer management, you will see this screen:
as you see in the picture, you will need to go to : storage >> disk management
here, you will be able to see your harddrive in the list
you can first open your disk management, and then check the list
and then later, connect the harddrive, and check the list again
if you see a NEW item in the list, it is the harddrive you connected.
(in other words, first don't connect the harddrive. open disk management and check the list, and then close computer management and connect the harddrive and check the new item in the list, it is your harddrive that came to the list)
right click on the harddrive icon there, and from there you will be able to activate it
when you are on that computer, if you want we can go step by step and fix it
from that screen, you will also be able to assign your desired drive letter for your new harddrive (for example, F:\ G:\ etc , and you will see your harddrive from your COMPUTER (my computer) section)
Many thanks I will try this later. Could you e-mail me these instructions please.
