I did as you said. I changed the settings from pop3.gotadsl.co.uk on incoming and from smtp.gotadsl.co.uk on the Account settings, as you said, then went to Advanced, where there was 110, and I changed the outgoing to 587, and clicked SSL.
Then I waited, and the same message came back with red crosses, cannot connect to the server.
My code is 877 968 825 and password XXXXX XXXXX

It tells me that either my log in (user name ) [email protected] or my password (tomsk38) is incorrect.
The same as before, ie sent/receive error, little red crosses and unable to connect to the server (with a long number in brackets (oooc......)

No, I didn't touch anything after you did them.
They asked me (all automatic) to check my router (OK) and then what was the problem - I said I could not receive e-mails - they said 'connectivity' and they would text me a response after tests (take one hour). Did I want them to divert 'calls' to my mbile or another number? I said - no. (I don't get my phone calls through talk talk.) They have texted me that they will update me when tests are finished.
Well, I am not pleased. Finally< I got transferred to 0800 083 3003, Tal-talk support and was told by Becky that the Outlook e-mail has been down since yesterday, that they are working on it, but they have no idea when they are going to get it back and running. Why wasn't I told? I asked. Because I'm business talk-talk and probably it was the residence team I communicated with ....she did apologize, and suggested I try switching my router on and off every 4 hours, and if it's not back - in a couple of days - ring again for more info. Thanks for your help...I may be in touch again, but I hope not.....
