OTA Start

Ver a7.33 Press Standby button to restart.

Having pressed standby it said :Download will start: this did not happen.
What can I do to get the box working again.

E-OS displays when the firmware upgrade failed and the os is the error Operating System Incorrect Operating System

Michelle :

solution will be to Set to back to Factory Default

Michelle :

During a software update, where an HDF file on USB stick is presented to a HUMAX unit, The progress of the update is monitored until completion, If an error is detected a code will be displayed on the front panel and the process will be halted, The same codes will be displayed for both Original and Customised firmware, As this is not a function of the Customised Firmware.

Michelle :

If you have any external hard rive connected to the box please remove it the hdd can be corrupted

Michelle :

Check Menu >> Settings >> System >> System Information details, They should be :-

Michelle :

Model Name : HDR-Fox T2 Software Version : FHTCP 1.02.XX (28 = current)
Loader : a7.30 or a7.31 or a7.32 System ID : 80BC.7E00
Update Date : Date ( current = 26 May 2012) Micom Version : 9.3
Mac Address : 00:03:78:XX:XX:XX or DC:D3:21:XX:XX:XX

You could get the 'Error:E-OS' message if System ID or Mac address is displayed incorrectly

Michelle :

Try downloading the firmware from Humax website to a USB and install it that will fix the problem.

un plug the power cable from the wall or ups device connected to the Humax HDR-Fox T 2.

leave it turned off for 3 mins

I have un pluged box but the same error message is displayed. It will not clear

how old is the player?

Michelle :

it has 500gb or 1TB

The player was purchased new on 24th November 2012

Yes it has 500gb

you will have to update the firmware then it will work fine
