can you click your start button. go to control panel
when you are in control panel, at top-right, you will see a small textbox (used for searching)
can you type "internet options" there
it will display the internet options icon
please open internet options
go to ADVANCED tab.
there, you will see a RESET button
this button will restore your ie to factory condition (default values)
any plugins or add ons (like ask) will be removed
after doing this please close ie. and open it again
