I have bought brand new toshiba c55 laptop worked on set up

Resolved Question:

I have bought brand new toshiba c55 laptop worked on set up tried to switch on this morning it won't switch on. Light flashes for 5 seconds then goes off

Customer: Not sure how much you have seen but bought brand new computer c55 satellite set it up yesterday but cannot get it to switch on today

unplug the power adapter from the laptop

Customer: Ok done
Michelle :

now remove the battery from the back of the laptop

close the lit

Michelle :

flip it upside down

Michelle :

you will see 2 latched to release the battery

is the battery out of the laptop now

and ac adapter is disconnected

open the lid

Michelle :

and press and hold down the power button for 10 seconds without connecting the battery or the ac adapter

now just connect the ac adapter only and power on the laptop

do it power on or you are getting any display on the screen

let the computer boot to windows now

the battery is not connected correct

Customer: Battery not connected display has come up with screen where I left it last nigt

are you on the windows desktop screen

run internet explorer and open google or check your email for usage

Customer: I can see emails received and google ok

now without turning off the computer or removing the ac adapter power try to connect back the battery

it should snap in correctly and the latches must be in locked position.

no see if the chargin light is on and amber

Customer: Yes it is amber
Michelle :

let the battery get charged do not remove the ac adapter uptill 8 hrs

Michelle :

amber means its charging and if you see the system tray you will see the acadpter connected and the battery is charging now

Michelle :

issue is fixed

Customer: Thanks but do you know why this would happen with a brand new laptop

cause and reason:

Michelle :

due to static energy generated on the components and we did a flea power means we released the static energy the components started working good.

Michelle :

any time in future you have a charging problem or frequent disconnect follow the steps i made you do.
