I will give you the steps please to follow
when i set my Kobo touch up I pressed the wrong language button should have pressed English but did French insted

No problems, the home button is the silver line under the kobo screen.

Ok and nothing is changing on the screen? Which is really weird because that is the button that needs to be pressed to go to home screen.
no nothing is happening does it mean the machine is faulty
The Kobo will need a reset. Can you find the reset button it's a small hole that will need a paperclip or something like a needle small enough to fit inside

The hole is on the back of the Kobo
Can you please put a thin like paperclip unfolded inside there, firmly press into it till you feel it then keep holding for 20 seconds please
yes done that a face has appeared
it will go through a reset now

Right ok, can you try pressing the home button now, does it still not work ?

Ok let's try the next reset procedure this one should change the problem:
1.Hold the power button down for about 15 seconds to make sure the device is off.
2.Once device is off, Hold down the home button and power the device on while keeping it held down. This should force a factory reset.

Ok no problems can you please tell me at which stage does nothing happen? Does the device turn off after holding the power button which is on the top for 15 seconds?
Also, I see that it's a new device. Has it been long since you have purchased it and was it purchased from a store near you?
