Hello my name is XXXXX XXXXX I will be happy to assist you.

You probably have an extension that was installed on chrome that is not working correctly, we should be able to disable it and fix the issue.

Can you please tell which plug in it says is unresponsive?

Also what is your homepage that chrome is opening set to?

Please let me know so I can further assist.

Thanks,
Chris

I have tried to disable the flash player

Expert:  Chris L. replied 3 years ago.
Is it the flash player that is unresponsive?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Yes it is the flash player.

Expert:  Chris L. replied 3 years ago.
Ok I am going to give you a couple of things to try. Please let me know before you attempt these if you do not understand or are not comfortable performing them and if you prefer I can do a remote support session with you and connect to your computer and fix it for you.

Open the Chrome Plugins page by typing this URL into the address bar: chrome://plugins
graphic

Find the "[+] Details" button in the upper right to show the details of each installed plugin and click this button.

Find the Flash Plugin Section in the list of Plugins. There may be (1 file), (2 files) or (3 files) in this section.

In the Flash section there should be 2 or 3 different versions of Flash listed.
The first Plugin listed in the Flash section is the PepperFlash implementation. You can tell that the first one is PepperFlash by looking for "PepperFlash" in the Location string. See yellow highlight below.
Find the "Disable" link and click that link.

Now Close all open Chrome windows and tabs and restart Chrome and it should work.

If you need further help please let me know.

Thank You
-Chris

I have found a different way to deal, with it and it seemed

to have worked.

Relist: Other.
I have tried to ask someone different.
Expert:  Chris L. replied 3 years ago.
Did you still need help. I thought you were saying it is now working.
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

I have tried changing the, plug In and it still did not work.

Expert:  Chris L. replied 3 years ago.
Is the flash player still crashing?

Are you sure it is the flash player causing the issue?

Please let me know also if you have a lot of bookmarks and information saved in chrome that is not backed up. We may need to create a new chrome profile and I want to make sure that everything is backed up before doing that.
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

No I do not have a lot of book marks saved, what I have got is

imported from IE.

Expert:  Chris L. replied 3 years ago.
Ok great. Then I think the best move is to create a new chrome profile.

Which version of windows are you using?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

I have upgraded to windows 8.1 and it seems to have sorted it

out for me.

Expert:  Chris L. replied 3 years ago.
Ok keep me posted if it starts again.
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

I will do many thanks for your help.

Expert:  Chris L. replied 3 years ago.
You are most welcome. Hopefully it was just a corrupt flash player which got re-installed with the upgrade.

If it continues we can create a new chrome profile.

Expert:  Chris L. replied 3 years ago.
