When using google chrome and trying to search the program wont

Customer Question

When using google chrome and trying to search the program won't down load the requested information, the activity 'squirl' in the box just revolves at a slow speed. Also Skype will not connect!!!. All the other functions appear to work correctly ie. sky search. I have deleted chrome and reinstall but the problem remains.

Hello, Sorry not to have called before. I have found that when opening on the Control Panel and Networking when clicking 'default' this is shown as'http://search.findwide.com/?guid=( ' etc. On reflection I seem to remember at about the time of updating to 8.1 when opening 'Google Chrome' the search bar showed this address.

Clicked 'start meeting', the run box at the bottom of the screen flashed and a box opened 'Launching app' - verifying application requirements' and the a marker opened pointing to the 'start meeting box' stating 'download did not start'

No luck same problem. Don't forget when I go into Networking and pressing default I get the 'search.findwide.com'
