My Kobo has broken, completley dead, back fallen off, bits

Resolved Question:

My Kobo has broken, completley dead, back fallen off, bits fell out.
But I have all my books on my Samsung mobile.
How can I transfer from the Samsung to a new Kindle please?

You mean you tried to copy the books from the phone but nothing was copied over?

Hello - yes, tried to download books from Samsung to laptop.


Just had a lot of empty folders moved but no books.

The books were already on the Samsung, they were linked to the Kobo.

The books cannot be transferred to the Kindle.

The Samsung reads them as it uses the Kobo B&N app, but Kindle (being from the competitor) wont run this, or read the books.

The same is also in reverse, the Kindle books cannot go onto the Kobo sorry.

You will need to purchase another Kobo, or a Tablet (that can use the Kobo B&N app) in order to read the books again.

I know its not ideal, but it is what these companies do to keep you reliant on their devices.
