Hi, why wont aol let me in on "[email protected]" ........?

Hi, why won`t aol let me in on "[email protected]" ........? I can access the site but not all of its functions.........it shuts down with message "504 gateway time out nginx/1.4.4. .........then I have to log back in again. I have rung the site help line and they tell me the transmission is ok, and that all the functions work ok, its being blocked by aol ! your help would be greatly appreciated, I`m 75 and enjoy my computer but am not a wizzard at "settings"..........( I did`nt grow up with them !) Mike.

Is it Internet Explorer your using to access the AOL email ?

Hi James, I presume so, although I do not have to acces internet explorer to get my mail from aol. I have aol desktop 9.7 and the tool bar gives me "read"or "write" and I click on either and the aol window opens to either read or write an e-mail. Mike.

Please do this

Ok

We need to do a reset of Internet Explorer

To do this

1) Close all open Internet Explorer Windows
2) Open One Internet Explorer window
3) click the tools or settings Wheel top Right
4) Click Internet options > then the Advanced tab > then Click Reset and Reset again.
5)Close internet Explorer and re-open and see if you still have the Issue


Then test - if you still have an issue then do this

Go to :

http://www.firefox.com

Download and Install Firefox -

Firefox is a browser like Internet Explorer , But faster and More secure.

Once Installed open Firefox and see if you have the same issue in Firefox

Follow my instructions again restart the machine and try and reset interent explorer and Install firefox

its certinaly a Internet Explorer issue
