using chrome on win8. logged in with gAccount-1 but when

using chrome on win8. logged in with gAccount-1 but when sign out then back in with gAccount-2 do not get second Bookmarks Bar, says "you already using on this computer" ?  also some gMail contacts keep disappearing ?  maybe i am misusing the sync somehow ?

as question says, i login with gAccount-1 and get Bookmarks Bar-1 but then if i logout, and even "dissociate" that first account (so no sync occurs), then log back in with gAccount-2 which SHOULD bring in Bookmarks Bar-2 from the cloud, it fails to do either that or Merge, so i still have Bar-1

back now Michelle, here is another description of my problem,
(1) one of my Accounts shows twice in settings, if i delete the excess profile, will it delete the Original as well (same name) ?
(2) ive also got 2 different Accounts. if i log out of Acc-1 then back into Acc-2 it fails to sync the Bookmarks, leaving the ones from Acc-1. but my settings are "sync All" ?
same result if i check "dissociate from gAccount" first.
and i get message "account already used on this computer" - why does that matter, surely i should still be able to switch logins ?
(3) thirdly what is difference between the Login showing in settings (say Acc-1), and the Account Picture login option which offers a seemingly contradictory Login to Acc-2 at same time.
** thanks for any help. is this all explained by google somewhere ?

ok ive read and printed. that is what ive already got, Multiple accounts in the Profile Picture.

if i understand this, everything works fine , its just taht when you switch between accounts, the sync does not happen and there fore things like bookmarks or progfile pic etc does not update as per teh account you ahve signed onto

at that point, Click on the Chrome user icon on the top corner, and in the drop down select the user associated with the Google Account you are trying to sign in to Chrome with.

** ive found half the answer. (1) i took gamble and deleted the duplicate account. did not destroy original.

next found that switching accounts via the top LEFT icons works. but using the top RIGHT profiles does NOT.

seems chrome problem not ironed out yet.

further try the below

  1. Stop sync locally on the device that is not receiving the sync changes. Settings > Sign in section > Disconnect your Google Account

  2. Next, go to Chrome menu > Exit. This will make sure to end all background processes, for a complete Chrome exit.

  3. Start Chrome back up, and Sign in to Chrome again with default settings.

even after this the issue persists then as per the extensive search i have done on this issue, i have found it to be a known problem with chrome sync...chrome team is aware of this and working on it..i can share the problem thread link with you for your confirmation

where is the "force Sync" option ?

there is nothing like a force sync option

Michelle :

by force sync we mean to exit chrome and reopen to start a new automatic sync

Michelle :

you told me earlier to "stop sync" then "start sync" again, but i dont see any manual choice

some contacts sometimes disappear from gMail list. that is a separate login to gMail

if you watch android smart phone app at same time as writing a gDoc, you can see an edit uploading character by character, so can never loose a doc. that is quite something.
