My acer aspire one will not allow me to log on. I enter my password XXXXX it comes up with "the user profile service service failed to log in. User profile cannot be loaded". How do I log in?

most of the times it happens like the user profile get corrupted however we can try to repair the corrupt user profile but it does not gurantee that the profile will be recovered.

Customer: I'm ready and waiting Michelle, on you go!
Customer: ive tried to change the password XXXXX it won't allow me. Restart but returns to the same issue.
Michelle :

how many user account you have on that computer

can you login to the windows on safe mode

Customer: How do you do that please?
Michelle :

once you are in safe mode windows let me know.

Customer: Are you still there Michelle?
Michelle :

yes i am

once you are in safe mode windows let me know.

Customer: I'm in the F2 setup utility does that help you?
Michelle :

not the F2 this will open bios setup we dont want that

Michelle :

use the F8 key tap on it few times as you turn on the computer

Michelle :

on the initial display screen when you turn on the computer be quick as it gives you only 3 second tap the F8 few times

Customer: Gotcha, into safe mode now
Michelle :

ok great

Michelle :

press the WindowsKey on the keyboard, type Restore then press enter.


Right click on “System Restore” in System Tools, then click “Pin to Start Menu” easy access.


Press continue at the “Windows needs you permission to continue dialog box.


Select “Choose a different Restore Point”.


If “Choose a different restore point” was selected the “Choose a restore point” dialog box will appear. Choose a restore point like an earlier data on which the computer was working and click on Next.


Now click Yes to continue.


The system will reboot and the following dialog box will appear if the restore was successful.

Customer: Windows key doesn't take me anywhere. However several options on the screen. Safe mode, safe mode with networking, safe mode with command prompt, last known configuration, directory services restore mode, debugging, and a couple of disable drivers

use the arrow key to select safe mode and then hit enter

Customer: Ok front page log on up do I log on again
Michelle :

login and be on the windows screen

Michelle :

did you choose safe mode to login to windows

Customer: Yes
Michelle :

so you are in windows now

Customer: Yes but haven't logged on yet, should i
Michelle :

login

Customer: Desk top up with safe mode page
Michelle :

ok good

Michelle :

now press start button and select the search box

Michelle :

type in system restore

Michelle :

as the icon appears click on it

Customer: Ok system restore up with restore points
Michelle :

click on the check mark at the bottom which says show more restore points

Customer: Done
Michelle :

you will see old dates select a 10 days back date or a weeks

Michelle :

your data is safe system restore will not erase any of your files folders or emails

Michelle :

after you select the date hit next to continue

Michelle :

it will reboot the comuter on its own so all we do is wait and watch

Michelle :

after reboot the system will tell you whether is was restored successfully or not

Customer: How painful for you all this waiting around!
Michelle :

no problem sur

no problem sir sorry for the spelling

is it still running

Customer: Just finishing windows front log in page starting up
Michelle :

okay

Customer: And....

Customer: I'm in hurray
Michelle :

we are almost done please be patient for few more minutes

Customer: Ok
Michelle :

Customer: Yep anything I need to check?
Michelle :

no its just that after it completes it will display a message restored successfully then you can login to windows with your original login account
