Hello. Thank you for your question. My goal is to provide excellent customer service.
Can you please tell me the path to your work folder? There may be a problem with access rights to this directory.
Hi joelk, Here is the path i have set "D:\DM DATA\ORG-DATA DOUG\DOUG.ORG.OR5" all my data is in d-Drive so i can backup D and all data etc, like i said in e-mail never had trouble before to this location and even with the warning popping up saying its created a temp file, it's still save to the lacation above. Waiting for your reply. Thanks Doug.
With in "Lotus Organizer" I set up as follow: FILE - USER SETUP - ORGANIZER PREFERENCES - DEFAULT TAB - Ticked "AUTOMATICALLY OPEN FILE" and entered the path "D:\DM DATA\ORG-DATA DOUG\DOUG.ORG.OR5" ok. PS sorry about three messages i keep pushing enter which sends lol. Waiting Thanks again Doug.
What hardware is referenced as the D: drive. Is it a hard drive or a flash memory (thumb drive)?
D = Hard drive C been the main & D the partion drive
I have discovered what the problem is:Your file is incorrectly named. You have given it the .ORG extension, which you cannot do. The correct file extension is assigned by the system as .OR5. The result is that the system has assigned its extension after your extension, resulting in an illegal file name.If you will change the filename to DOUG.OR5 (by removing the .ORG), your Lotus Organizer application will stop assigning a temp file, which I assume it requires you to delete each time (creating the nuisance that you are complaining about.
Just change the filename and everything will work fine. If you are satisfied with the answer to your question, please be sure to rate my services.I ONLY GET COMPENSATED WHEN I RECEIVE A POSITIVE RATING.
If you want to use ORG in the filename, you may call your file DOUG-ORG.OR5 (or DOUR_ORG.OR5).
Sorry for the typo. I meant DOUG_ORG.OR5.
You can just change the period to a hyphen. Many special characters are allowed in filenames, but not periods (or slashes), for obvious reasons.
