Please note, click on Reply to Expert to reply to me, a rating is only needed when we are finished.

To do this, you open the front panel on the printer. The cartridge mechanism will then move to the middle to be accessible.

Then push down the top clip on each of the cartridges, which allows you to pull then out.

you can then clip in the new cartridges into the carriage.

Many thanks. I've done this before, but this time, when I open the top the cartridges do not move, and it is this that has thrown me.

remove the power from the printer and wait 10 minutes.

Then connect the power back to it and open the panel.

Does it then move into the middle?

No, it didn't work. Maybe I'll have to have it repaired?


 


As I.m 81, crawling round the floor trying to find the right connection isn't my idea of fun! I just removed the plugs and cut everything off, and it took a while to get the computer up and running again.#

The drive motor that drives the cartidges to the center has failed and will need to be replaced sorry.

I am really sorry about this and you are going to have to return the printer to have this done. It will be covered by the warranty if this has not expired, and the replacement will be done at no cost to you.
