Hi, Ive just uploaded some photos from a recent holiday

Resolved Question:

Hi,
I've just uploaded some photos from a recent holiday and have been editing them in iPhoto. I then moved them to another file from iPhoto when I was finished editing with them. When I scroll through my photos however, only a handful are coming up on the thumbnail. Most of my photos when I double click on them are just a white blank. I can't see the photos and when I tried to upload the album on Facebook, those same photos were just a white blank too. Any ideas? Thanks!

file://localhost/Users/charlottestafford/Desktop/Croatia%202014/ It's not saying there are any photos in there. And the photo library first aid box is not coming up.

Michelle :

do you have a backup of these photos

Customer:

On my camera card. That doesn't even seem to be coming up now when I put it in my computer! But all the photos look fine in the camera

Michelle :

ok can you just copy these photos again in a separate location on your computer

Michelle :

once done let me know

Michelle :

i would like to test with 2-3 photos

Michelle :

once you have copied the photos..then

  1. locate any one photo file, select it in the Finder.

  2. From the File menu, choose Get Info.

  3. In Info window that appears, click the disclosure triangle near the bottom to reveal Ownership & Permissions.

  4. Make sure that you have Read or Read & Write access to this file. If necessary, change this using the menus.

  5. Close the Info window.

  6. Try to view the photo again in iPhoto.

  7. If the photo still does not appear in iPhoto, try reimporting the file by dragging its file icon from the Finder onto the iPhoto icon in the Dock.

Michelle :

let me know if photo comes up fine..if it does then try the same steps with 2-3 more photos that were showing up as white

Customer:

OK, I'll have a go

Michelle :

ok

Michelle :

let me know once you have tried

Customer:

Its popping up ok on iphotos now. I think after I finished editing it I moved it to another folder and that's when they were showing white in the thumb nail. Hopefully it won't do it again if I keep it in the same file!
