Customer Question

I have ssl error on yahoo mail how do I get it off so I can use my e mail

Hi, and thank you for asking your question!

This error usually shows up when your system's date and time are set incorrectly. Please do this now:

Click on the date/time on your system tray (at the bottom-right), then make sure that the date (including year) and time are set correctly. If not, click 'Change date and time settings', then change the date and time to the correct settings accordingly.

Done that, check if this resolves the issue you are having with accessing Yahoo Mail. If you continue to face issues, just reply back to me below.

Keep me posted. Thank you!

done that both are set correctly so it`s not that but I am having problems with passwords I have put all my passwords that I normally use but they are not reconized.
Expert:  Barun replied 2 years ago.
I see. So, are you unable to login to your Yahoo account itself, or do you get this SSL error after logging in?

Keep me posted.
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
it comes up when I try to log in it just goes blank then the ssl error appears
Expert:  Barun replied 2 years ago.
Okay. Would you like me to set up a secure screen-sharing session now, and take a look at the issue here? This additional service will cost you just $20 - but will allow me to connect to your screen, and resolve the issue quickly for you.

Do let me know. Thank you!
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
ok
Expert:  Barun replied 2 years ago.
Good news: there's NO extra charge for the remote session. :)

All right, let's get started. Please open up the following session link:
http://166.78.231.170:8040/?Session=2857f069-68ef-4d9c-a24c-94dc955b3ef4

Join the session, then save and OPEN the 'Elsinore Screen Connect' file downloaded (press CTRL + J to open up the Downloads window) - and I'll be connected.

Thanks!
Expert:  Barun replied 2 years ago.
Hi, are you still there? Did you make sure to OPEN the 'Elsinore Screen Connect' file from your Downloads window, after joining the session?

Keep me posted.
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

yes the moment I press open mcaffee site advisor stops me doing anything else

Expert:  Barun replied 2 years ago.
I see. Let's use a different remote tool now.

Click the following link:

http://tinyurl.com/azwl8gu

Save and run the 'TeamViewer' file downloaded - and you will be provided with an ID and password.

Keep the TeamViewer window open, and reply back to me with the ID and password, please. Thanks!

Customer: replied 2 years ago.

Expert:  Barun replied 2 years ago.
Hmm, let's troubleshoot the email issue on this page for now.

While in Firefox, please press the ALT key once - does this show the File, Edit, etc. menu at the top?

If so, click on Help > Restart with add-ons disabled.

Firefox will now close, then a pop-up prompt will come up.

Click 'Reset Firefox'. After Firefox comes back up, check if this makes any difference to your issue with accessing Yahoo Mail.

Keep me posted. Thanks!

Customer: replied 2 years ago.

no that aint worked

Expert:  Barun replied 2 years ago.
Okay. When did you first start having this issue with accessing Yahoo Mail?

Keep me posted.
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

Expert:  Barun replied 2 years ago.
Okay. Please press ALT one more time to bring up the menu bar at the top, then click History > Clear Recent History.

Set the 'Time Range' (at the top) to 'Everything', then check all of the checkboxes listed.

Next, click 'Clear History', then close and re-open Firefox.

Check if this resolves the issue with accessing your emails.

Keep me posted.

Were you able to reset Firefox earlier as directed, or did you get stuck at this step?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

Expert:  Barun replied 2 years ago.
I see. Let's try doing that one more time first.

Please click on the icon with three horizontal bars at the top-right corner of the Firefox window, then click on the help icon (next to 'Customize') at the bottom.

Do you see 'Restart with Add-ons Disabled' listed as an option there?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

no that's not worked

Expert:  Barun replied 2 years ago.
Okay. Please click on the top-right icon one more time now, then click History > Clear Recent History.

Set the 'Time Range' (at the top) to 'Everything', then check all of the checkboxes listed.

Next, click 'Clear History', then close and re-open Firefox.

Check if this resolves the issue with accessing your emails.

Customer: replied 2 years ago.

Sorry, the email address was crossed out (for security reasons); could you just replace '@' with AT, and type up the email address one more time?

Okay. Open up the following link now:
http://mail.yahoo.com

Are you able to sign in to your account using this webpage, or do you get the same SSL error?

Also, could you try accessing your emails using Internet Explorer (instead of Firefox), and check if you have the same issue?

Keep me posted.
