Check your connection doctor by clicking WINDOW from the top of your menu bar and then Connection Doctor. In here there should be two ports (incoming and outgoing) for your accont. SMTP represents outgoing; POP or IMAP represents incoming. A red or green dot indicates if it's having a problem. Red dots with a status message saying "verify the username or password" usually means the password ***** to be re-entered in the settings. Red dots saying anything else usually relates to a setting issue, either with the ports or server information. Let me know the results please.
